DESIGN. MAKE. TAKE. Kids will have fun designing their own vinyl cut stickers using 2D design software and a state of the art vinyl cutter. What are vinyl cut stickers? You might have seen some as a “stick figure family” in the back of the family vans, or bearing the logo and name in the front of restaurants. They can make decals for their mobile devices (airpods / cell phones), for their walls in their room (easy to remove and will not residue), or even for the family car! DESIGN. Learn computer software to design their own custom 2D and 3D products. MAKE. Using brand new, high-end professional grade computers and digital manufacturing machines with a variety of materials to prototype and complete their projects. CREATE. Exciting and fun memories and gain understanding of engineering/STEM +careers TAKE. Your. PROJECT. HOME!!! 3DMAKERCAMP is more than just engineering and making. This summer camp is designed holistically to help develop the students’ mind, body, and spirit. Caring and professional adults bring to life the curriculum that is designed to incorporate academics, perseverance, teamwork along with sports and outdoor recreational time. The students will be given the space to play, be creative, problem-solve until you succeed, make friendships, and most especially, develop skills and confidence. It is a space where they can breathe, relax, have fun, think critically, step out of their comfort zones, and be challenged while in an atmosphere where they are respected, heard, and listened to by caring adults who hope to inspire learning and personal growth for their students. Example Day: 8:30-Students arrive and hang out/settle in and write their goals for the day. 9:00- Fun STEAM video or presentation and quick discussion. 9:15a- Learn and/or use the 2D/3D modeling software to make their designs 10:15- Break/Free play (indoor) 10:30- Use the 3D digital manufacturing machines to create and prototype their products. 12p- Lunch and free play time. (Outdoor) 1p- Outdoor Game Time- instructor and TA-led Sports and Team Building games. 2:30- Wrap up and prepare for the next day. 2:40-3pm- Students get picked up by their parents in the parking lot.
